i was planning to cross the street and then i saw a man cross the street and then i cross too. when i was in the middle of the street the light became green and the cars started going. and then i walk until i reach the other side of the street and then a police wave at me and i got a ticket?what are they going to do with me?

Okay, so it was green, and it had four wheels, but they might have been put on in the wrong order, like the front wheels were in the back, and the wheels on the right may have been on the left, but I don’t know.

The headlights were glowing pretty bright when the headlights were on, and the engine made this kind of periodic mumbling sound when the car was on, like *BPFH* except a lot so it was more like *BPFBPFBPFBPFBPFBPFH*

I think my grandma used to drive one, if that helps, but she bought it recently and then died, so the car may or may not kill people, but I don’t think cars are alive because that’s silly, but it still may kill people. Okay, so it had a windshield that was made of transparent stuff, probably glass, but almost certainly not plastic, the windows were made of the same stuff.

The muffler was a kind of hollowed out metal cylinder, and whenever the car would go *BPFH* the muffler would go *FFSH* and then some smoke would come out. Is that a regular amount of smoke? The inside had at least two chairs, and some levers with pads on them for the driver to push down, like pedals. The glovebox was not green (remember, the car is green) and there were peppermint candies in the glovebox. There were no gloves.

Please help, I’m really desperate to figure out what kind of car this is.

which i’m guessing is coolant. but it’s leaking from the middle and right side and the coolant goes in at the very left. any ideas? i don’t have the money to repair it right away, so i’ve been putting water in it for the past week.. and doing that seems to help until i drive over 45 minutes to an hour, then starts to overheat. it’s never actually completely overheated though.
what i’m asking is, does it sound like the radiator, hose, what? i have an 98 oldsmobile, for about five years.. never any problems.

It could be leaking from the radiator, a hose, the water pump or a head gasket. Find someone who knows about cars to look at it.

the car idles real bad at red lights and stop signs. when you cross the tracks, and you come to a stop sign or red light and the traffic’s clear (or light is green), the car kills on me. what is causing this to happen? is it a sensor that’s going out, or is it a hose that’s busted? please help!!!

First, when is the last time your car had a tuneup?? You might need new sparkplugs, oil change and filter, new air filter….. and clean your fuel injectors…… preventative maintenance will keep your car running like a champ for many years…..

I was stopped at a stoplight and tried to go when it turned green – the car wouldn’t move and as soon as I turned the air conditioner off it went just fine. My air conditioner isn’t blowing much cold anymore. Do you think this is my transmission or air conditioner? When the air is on the car is very sluggish. What are the symptoms of the transmission going out and the symptoms of the air conditioner? Please help I am so stressed out.

The AC being on or off shouldn’t make a difference in the way your car moves. Sounds like you need to get a tune up and have your transmission looked at.

I was stopped at a light 2 days ago, when it turned green my car wouldn’t go. It runs, but when i put it in any of the gears, it doesn’t go anywhere. There hasn’t been any previous transmission problems, no slippage, the fluids are fine, and there is no burnt smell. what could it be??

I’ll make this easy. First thing is to have the tranny fluid changed and a new filter, then cross your fingers and hope it works. If it dosen’t you’ve got to ask yourself, how much you like the car, because the transmission has to come out. For some stupid reason Mercury decided that it would be a good idea if you had to take the sub-frame out in order to remove the tranny. Cost of job to do this should be about $ 1200.00. This price will be the same wether they replace the tranny with a rebuilt one, or rebuild the one you have.
