Do global warming deniers think I’m a fascist/communist/socialist trying to take of America if?
Question by LoveIman: Do global warming deniers think I’m a fascist/communist/socialist trying to take of America if?
I use, advocate fast transit, or green cars, and get tons of people to do it so eventually their jobs in petroleum/cars will go away?
I use and constantly advocate wind and solar energy and invest in it and totally screw America’s need for carbon emitting fuels but leave out denier states like texas and tennessee so they can pay the price(since they apparently wanted to).
Or I advocate more taxes on smoking, drinking, fast food, and porn?
Because I’m definitely going to do that, just want to know what ya think of me.

A typical socialist would favor the taxes on things that he doesn’t like. There is a bit of fascism in the notion of wanting the state to punish people for doing things you don’t like. Nobody cares that you are probably ignorant about people losing their jobs. Nobody cares what you do until you try to get the government to control other people. Then you cross over into left field and the problems start.

Do Your Part To Go Green – Use Amsoil
Amsoil is not new to the green movement. Since 1972 Amsoil has been recommending oil changes with their synthetic oils at 25,000 mile change intervals under normal driving conditions (12,500 Severe Driving). Think of all the oil we would have saved as a nation if we were to follow these recommendations set some 35 + years ago by Amsoil. Ok I know you are thinking 25,000 miles!!! Yep, all with a warranty that is unmatched in the oil industry. Recently they have introduced an oil with 1 year 35,000 mile drain intervals under normal service and 17,500 miles under severe service. No other company comes even close to an oil that lasts this long.
Ok.. Ok.. I know what you are thinking -that’s insane I would never let my oil go that long. Fine but let your oil go longer than 3000 miles. With the introduction of oil life monitors GM has been able to push oil changes as high as 12,000 miles. This is with conventional oil folks. Everyone knows that synthetic last longer and protects better. Is it really so hard to believe that a quality synthetic oil can go 25,000-35,000 miles Even back in 2005 the average oil change drain interval in Europe was 10,000 miles.
Here is where people tend to get upset because they do not like being lied to and deceived.
The same cars that are in Europe going 10,000 miles or more on oil changes are some of the same cars sold here in America with oil change recommendations of less miles.
Why do you think that is? Greed! Yes pure and simple greed -big oil is big money! Listen Mobil had a 25,000 mile oil back in the 1970′s after Amsoil had one on the market! Shortly after the introduction of their so called new formula they stopped marketing it as a 25,000 mile drain interval oil, and then somewhere around 2005 came out with Mobil 1 Extended Performance with a 15,000 mile oil change interval. Where did this oil go that they had back in the ’70′s? They buried it to sell more oil for 30 plus years and get in good with car manufacturers. Do you think car manufacturers think Amsoil is a bad product? Or do you think Mobil has pushed their way in as factory fill by using money and marketing techniques? Mobil or any other oil manufacturer does not want to get on the bad side of the auto service industry. If Mobil was pushing 25,000 mile oil change intervals do you think that they would be the factory fill for some vehicles? Here is something to consider and take note of. The Mobil Extended Performance Warranty does not cover your car if it is under factory warranty. From my perspective I feel that Mobil does not want to get involved with the manufacturers if a claim were to be placed while using their oil. Also, this would hurt the service department at the dealerships that service these vehicles. They would see the customer much less and it in turn would hurt revenue. This would get Mobil on the bad side of the auto industry, so for now Mobil will not recommend a drain interval that is any higher then the info in your owners manual unless your car is out of warranty.
Here is another way of putting this into perspective. Lets say in 2011 GM came out with a new Corvette factory filled with Mobil 1, and the owners manual stated oil change intervals at 25,000 miles. Certainly most Corvette owners would not go this far on an oil change but Mobil would certainly provide an oil that meets the specifications of the manufacturer for this application. Nothing more, nothing less! While this may not happen with GM I really do believe sometime in the near future a car manufacturer will push oil change recommendations to this level, and Mobil will be right there to claim their spot with some new product that meets these recommendations while they have had it all along.
You see big oil is not about go green or looking out for the best interest of the public. It is all about selling as much oil as they can PERIOD.
This kind of marketing an thinking has made big oil millions/billions of dollars over the past 30 years. This is called market timing – now that new car owner manuals have recommended oil changes much higher than 3000 miles Mobil has decided to unleash their awesome NEW Product.. Here is a direct quote from the Mobil 1 Extended Performance site “You’ve never seen an oil like this before. Mobil 1 Extended Performance is a high-endurance motor oil designed for longer service intervals”
If you are looking for a company that stands behind their products, and supports the people that get them to the marketplace consider Amsoil for all your lubricant needs.
Also worth noting. Amsoil also gained the naming rights to the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center. It will be called the Amsoil Center. Upon Completion it will be the 2nd building in the nation to meet the LEED Gold Standard.

Can you believe any of this about President Obama I just got this today?
Question by John Holmes: Can you believe any of this about President Obama I just got this today?
Written by an unknown Pastor’s Wife, and brilliantly said:
And it came to pass in the Age of Insanity that the people of the land called America, having lost their morals, their work initiative, and their will to defend their liberties, chose as their Supreme Leader that person known as “The One”. He emerged from the vapors with a message that had no meaning; but He hypnotized the people telling them, “I am sent to save you. My lack of experience, my questionable ethics, my monstrous ego, and my association with evil doers are of no consequence. For I shall save you with Hope and Change. Go, therefore, and proclaim throughout the land that he who preceded me is evil, that he has defiled the nation, and that all he has built must be destroyed.”
And the people rejoiced, for even though they knew not what “The One” would do, he had promised that he would bring change, and they proclaimed “Yes We Can”.
And “The One” said “We live in the greatest country in the world. Help me change everything about it!”
And the people said, “Hallelujah!! Change is good!”
Then He said, “We are going to tax the rich fat-cats,”—- And the people said “Sock it to them!” “—- and “Redistribute their wealth..”
And then He said, “Redistribution of wealth is good for everybody” And the people said, “Show us the money!”
And Joe the plumber asked, “Are you kidding me? You’re going to steal my money and give it to the deadbeats??”
And “The One” ridiculed and taunted him, and Joe’s personal records were hacked, publicized, and ridiculed; though no crime could be found.
One lone reporter asked, “That shouldn’t be, isn’t that Marxist policy?” And she was banished from the kingdom!
Then a citizen asked, “With no foreign relations experience and having zero military experience or knowledge, how will you deal with radical terrorists?” And “The One” said, “Simple. I shall sit with them and talk kindly to them and show them how nice we really are; and they will forget that they ever wanted to kill us all!”
And the people said, “Hallelujah!! We are safe at last, and we can beat our weapons into free cars for the people!”
Then “The One” said, “I shall give 95% of you lower taxes.”
And one, lone voice said, “But 40% of us don’t pay ANY taxes.”
So “The One” said, “Then I shall give you some of the taxes the fat-cats pay!”
And the people said, “Hallelujah!! Show us the money!”
Then “The One” said, “I shall tax your Capital Gains when you sell your homes!”
And the people yawned and the already slumping housing market fully collapsed.
And He said, “I shall mandate employer-funded health care for EVERY worker and raise the minimum wage, and lower the white collar wage. And I shall also give every person unlimited healthcare and medicine and even transportation to the free clinics.”
And the people said, “Give me some of that!”
Then he said, “I shall penalize employers who ship jobs overseas.”
And the people said, “Where’s my rebate check?”
Then “The One” said, “I shall bankrupt the coal industry, and perhaps even the oil industry (Cap & Trade/Carbon Tax) and though electricity rates will skyrocket, we shall soon build wind farms and solar power stations and drive green cars that I shall mandate in Detroit!”
And the people said, “Coal is dirty, coal is evil, no more coal! But we don’t care for that part about higher electric rates.”
So “The One” said, “Not to worry. If your rebate ($ 10/week) isn’t enough to cover your extra expenses ($ 3,000/year), we shall bail you out. Just sign up with ACORN and your troubles are over!” “Only the fat cats will have to pay.”
Then He said, “Illegal immigrants feel scorned and slighted. Let’s grant them amnesty, Social Security, free education, free lunches, free medical care, bi-lingual signs and guaranteed housing…”
And the people said, “Hallelujah!!” And they made him King!
And so it came to pass that employers, facing spiraling costs and ever-higher taxes, raised their prices and laid off workers; though they sold much less of their products. Others simply gave up and went out of business, and the economy sank like unto a rock dropped from a cliff. The banking industry was destroyed. Manufacturing slowed to a crawl. And more of the people were without a means of support.
So “The One” again blamed the prior administration, extended unemployment benefits to a year, bailed out his favorite banks, and then took over the banks and auto industries. “The One” said, “I am the “The One” – The Messiah – and I’m here to save you! We shall just print more money so the government will have enough!” “Surely one trillion dollars will make everyone happy.” And immediately the Fed complied and the money presses roared.
And China reconsidered their one trillion dollars of loans to the USA, and threatened to call in their debts. Other foreign trading partners said unto “The One”, “Wait a minute.. Your dollar is not worth a

Funny thought on Global Warming?
Question by neon9991: Funny thought on Global Warming?
You know, it would be cool for the world to warm up wouldn’t it? Think about it, once the earth warms, more trees will grow, more everything will grow. We can climb new mountains, maybe like one person said see new life come about from things buried under all the snow. So, the Earth will grow green, and more Oxygen will be released, thus fixing the ozone, and bringing on a new Ice Age. So, by the time that happens millions of years from now, people (if there is any) will be saying Global cooling is their fault, and the Green cars and houses we all have are causing the problem. Quick, start polluting. Think about it, millions of years from now, our bodies will become Oil, and the circle of life will continue to go around and around.

Green energy investments – The US deep South set to be the leader in the new green economy
The Recovery Act is the most ambitious energy legislation ever to be drawn up in the history of the US. It has converted the Energy Department into the largest venture-capital fund in the world. It is a monumental effort to derive something good from the crisis, by making green energy, green transportation and green building real. As a result of the act, no less than billion has been spent on green investments, including on a smart grid, electric cars, cleaner coal, solar, wind and geothermal power, and biofuels. The number of smart electric meters in private homes will triple, and the number of hybrids in the federal fleet will quadruple. billion is being spent to weatherize homes, and this part of the stimulus program has got a lot of attention. All in all, the Recovery Act represents the first major steps taken by the US to a low-carbon economy, and marks the beginning of the green revolution in the US. <a rel=”nofollow” onclick=”javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackPageview', '/outgoing/article_exit_link/3178442']);” href=”/popular-affordable-green-investment/”>For further information on green invesments, click here</a>
Investment in green companies is now deeply rooted in government policy. The green industrial revolution includes companies such as A123 Systems. It was founded in 2001 on a 0,000 federal grant, and now is a global player in the all important lithium battery market. Recently, it won 9 million to construct two factories in Michigan. The batteries produced will supply the first generation of mass-market produced electric cars. Three of the world’s first electric-car plants are also being heavily financed too. Fisker Automotive has received a 9 million loan to reopen a General Motors factory in Delaware in order to manufacture battery powered sedans.
The Recovery Act’s focus on green investments will not only reduce our heavy and ongoing dependence on fossil fuels, but also avoid a future economy in which the US is dependent on other countries for manufacturing and technology. Last year, only two factories in the U.S. produced batteries for electric vehicles. Thirty new ones are now expected to be opened, which will lead to an expansion of U.S. production capacity from the current 1.5% of the global market to more than 20%.
The stimulus includes nearly .5 billion for clean-coal projects, as well as lucrative loan guarantees for US nuclear plants. The country’s largest photovoltaic solar plant is being supported by the stimulus, as well as what are set to become the world’s two largest solar thermal plants, located in California and Arizona.
The stimulus cash has fuelled green investments, after a crises induced freeze, and the US should double its share of renewable power by 2012, an aim which Obama has repeatedly stated.
This is just a quick snapshot of the many ways that funds from the Recovery act are helping fuel the green revolution in the US. The big question now is, will green investments in the country continue to rise after the terms of the Recovery Act end? Let’s hope for more positive news in the future.
